俄航空运输组织国有公司将于2011年实施RVSM空域

来源: AviaPortThe new RVSM system envisages reduced intervals of vertical separation from 500 to 300 m on heights above 8,900 m. According to Valery Okulov, deputy Minister of Transport of Russia, it will allow airlines save fuel and ecology and improve the capacity of the air territory of Russia.
Alexander Vedernikov, deputy Head of Rosaeronavigation, added that air transport organization systems are currently being modernized to implement RVSM; staff is trained according to certified international aviation programs for working under RVSM conditions. He noted that only 460 out of 770 aircraft registered in the Russian state register are capable of flying in RVSM conditions.
