On March 22, 2009 Vladivostok Air received a new Airbus A320, given side number VQ-BCG, the fifth in the carrier’s fleet.

Vladivostok Air has been operating A320 aircraft since February 2007, and over this time the aircraft has proved to be highly efficient in terms of economy and fuel consumption for mid-range flights (up to 5 hours). This advantage of the aircraft as well as a passenger cabin equipped with highly comfortable seats, climate control and video system make Vladivostok Air a successful competitor of other Russian carriers.

Airbus A320 is equipped with two CFM engines and a spacious and comfortable multioptional cabin for 160 economy class seats especially designed for making quick modifications according to the carrier’s requirements.

Vladivostok Air will operate А320 mainly on its international flights that connect Vladivostok and Republic of Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, and on domestic and international flights from Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Khabarovsk.

This year Vladivostok Air plans to purchase the sixth А320 aircraft; currently Vladivostok Air is preparing to receive its first long-range wide-body Airbus A330.
