In 2007, according to PRIME-TASS agency, the volume of passengers carried by Russian aircrafts, amounted to about 45 million people. According to E. Bachurin, the rate of mobility to 2030 of the Russian population will be - 2, which will exceed the value of the same coefficient in the European countries and will be roughly at the level of America.

By 2030 in Russia will be about 500 airports and 7 thousand landing pads. In this chapter Rosaviatsiya proposed to the transport development strategy of Russia to introduce a new indicator - so that 90 percent of Russians would live in about 100 km from the nearest airport.
