RUSNANO and VSMPO-AVISMA to cooperate in metallurgy, 俄罗斯上萨尔达冶金生产联合公司

Anatoly Chubais, Chairman of the Board of RUSNANO, and Mikhail Voevodin, CEO of VSMPO-AVISMA, signed an agreement on strategic partnership to implement and commercialize nanotech solutions in metallurgy.

The strategic partnership envisages using VSMPO-AVISMA facilities to test the prospective nanotech developments. Three investment projects are expected to be formed in 2012, according to the cooperation plan.

Implementation of the agreement will be coordinated by Andrey Lukshin, director of RUSNANO project office, and Yuri Zabolotny, head of VSMPO-AVISMA department of new products development.

"Sharing RUSNANO's innovative potential and VSMPO-AVISMA facilities will foster the competitiveness of the Russian industry", said Andrey Lukshin.

Currently, RUSNANO's investment portfolio includes a few projects in metallurgy. Besides, RUSNANO has formed Nanomet - a new venture capital investments fund - in 2011. The Fund will support projects focused on implementing nanotechnologies in metallurgy.
