Gazpromneft-Aero starts operating in Ulyanovsk, Ulyanovsk SEZ - СЭЗ "Ульяновск-Восточный"

Release Date: 2011-12-01

On Dec 1, the first Gazpromneft-Aero fueling complex has started its operation in international airport Ulyanovsk—Vostochny, with its first into-plane fueling for An-124 Ruslan owned by Polet.
An alternative fueling complex based in Ulyanovsk—Vostochny will also service the city's second airport - Ulyanovsk—Zentralny. To provide fuel for airlines operating in these airports, Gazpromneft-Aero has registered a subsidiary - Gazpromneft-Aero Ulyanovsk. Aviation fuel for the fueling complex will be supplied from Gazpromneft's own oil refinery in Omsk.

The new fueling complex required a modernized oil base and modern VOLVO-driven ATZ-18 airport fuelers. Equipment of Gazpromneft-Aero in Ulyanovsk airport fully complies with Russian and international standards. Agreement to launch Gazpromneft-Aero in Ulyanovsk was signed at Ulyanovsk-2011 international air transport forum between Gazpromneft-Aero and Ulyanovsk regional government.

"Start of operation in Ulyanovsk is another step in implementing a long-term strategy of developing Gazpromneft-Aero that envisages its expansion in Russia and abroad", comments Vladimir Egorov, general director of Gazpromneft-Aero. "Launch of another alternative fueling complex is our contribution in the state program for demonopolization of the domestic market of aviation fuel supply".
