Topics for plenary sessions at Transport week – 2011 approved by the Organizing Committee

On April 25, Organizing Committee of Transport week - 2011 held a meeting at the Ministry of Transport of Russia and approved the main topics for V Anniversary International Forum Transport of Russia. Transport week – 2011 will take place on November 21-26 at Sokolniki EcoCentre.The following plenary sessions will take place at Transport week – 2011: Transport of Russia: ecology, resource-saving and safety and Modern infrastructure for global events: encouraging a balanced development of transport networks on November 23d; conferences Water transport – new horizons, Civil aviation and climate change and AirCargoForum on November 24th; conferences Commercial and public transport: current status and development prospects and Implementation of the program to ensure public safety on railway transport on November 25th.
The events of Transport week will be attended by more than 1,000 delegates, including the representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, Federal Agencies, federal and regional legislative and executive authorities; the major Russian and foreign transport, logistics and insurance companies; banks, industry associations and the leading business and industry media.
As of June 8, participation has been confirmed by Sergei Ivanov, Vice Chairman of the Russian Government; Sergei Kovalev, Deputy Head of the Department of Presidential Affairs; Peter Kucherenko, Chairman of Railway Transport Management Council; Alexander Malov, President of ASPOR.
Organizing Committee of Transport week - 2011 approved zoning of V Anniversary international exhibition Transport of Russia. The exhibition will be divided in industry-dedicated sectors: railway transport, marine and river transport, air transport and civil aviation, automotive transport and roads, with the following sectors presented for the first time: regional infrastructure projects, transport safety, eco transport.
Participation has been confirmed by the leading Russian transport companies: Sheremetyevo International Airport, Russian Railways, Sovfrakht, Koltsovo International Airport, International Airport Vnukovo, Administration of Civil Airports, Russian Highways, Rosmorport, GTLK, Kurganstalmost, MDS Group, SC Palmali, St.Petersburg – Dorservis, Transas, Transmashholding, USK Most and others.
Other events featured in Transport week - 2011 include the II International Congress ROAD TRAFFIС RUSSIA – 2011: Traffic Management in Russia, International Road Congress Innovations in Road Infrastructure, Special Prize awarding ceremony to the scientific societies and journalists, the Russian Arts Festival TranspART-2011, the III Russian Sports Festival, Open Cup of the Ministry of Transport of Russia.
