Moscow, May 20: during an official gala dinner held by the Association of Helicopter Industry in the honor of the nominees of its annual award, Association of Helicopter Industry introduced 38 nominees and 7 laureates in 7 categories for 2010. Sergey Mikheev, President of the Association of Helicopter Industry and General Constructor of Kamov, made a special address greeting Sergey Sikorsky as a representative of one of the leading international helicopter companies with Russian roots.
Award ceremony of the Association of Helicopter Industry was traditionally held after Helirussia, the international helicopter industry exhibition, and gathered pilots, engineers, helicopter designers, as well as the leaders of the helicopter industry, aviation authorities, journalists and professional media. Vladimir Morozov, Pilot-in-command of Mi-26 of Utair, is laureate of the 2010 award as Pilot of the Year.

Alexander Smirnov, Senior Test Pilot of 1st class of Kamov, is laureate of the 2010 award as Test Pilot of the Year.

Maxim Sotnikov, General Director of KomStrin, is laureate of the 2010 award as Sports Pilot of the Year.

Mikhail Golubev, Chief Technologist of Aviation and Repair Center of Utair-Engineering, is laureate of the 2010 award as Engineer of the Year.

Sergey Selemenev, Head of the Main Rotor Department of Kamov, is laureate of the 2010 award as Engineer and Designer of the Year.

Valery Pilchevsky, Chief 1st class Engineer for aircraft testing and Head of the Engineer Group for aircraft testing of MIL Moscow Helicopter Plant, is laureate of the 2010 award as Test Engineer of the Year.

Vladimir Shibin, Head of Laboratory of Chief Metrologist Service of Kummertau Aviation Production Company, is laureate of the 2010 award as Promising Young Engineer of the Year.
