Zhukovsky, April 20: Dinamika CSTS creates flight simulator for new family of mid-range and small-range MS-21 to support R&D in TsAGI of Zhukovsky
The flight simulator for MS-21 is designed for a wide range of tasks related to assessment of aircraft's piloting characteristics.
Its additional capacities include en-route flights using aircraft navigation systems under different meteorological conditions, landing in different hours, flights using reserve equipment, drilling actions in special cases and emergencies at different stages of the flight, prototyping and drilling control levers and interior elements.
In the frame of the project, TsAGI experts did mathematic models of flight dynamics and control systems using FlightSim software. Cockpit model and visualization system of the simulator were created by Dinamika CSTS.
The simulator’s cockpit model is a full-scale aircraft cockpit with 2 pilot seats. Panoramic visualization system is a 4-channel screen system with a spherical screen, 180° horizontal angle and 52° vertical angle. Image generation software includes visualization scene of 250 km х 300 km with 5 airports. The simulator also includes engineer’s working place for research, modeling data analysis, entry of original conditions and failures.
For Dinamika, participation in creation of MS-21 is an important project. Dinamika is viewed as potential developer of a range of simulators for piloting crews, including a simulator for highest complexity level and a procedure simulator.
