Products of Tula KBP presented at IDEX 2011 (Feb 20-24, 2011, Abu-Dhabi) raise interest of UAE and international defense authorities and industries
At IDEX 2011, Russia was presented by 33 companies with the largest stand by Rosoboronexport showing 20 types of arms and military equipment. In total, Russian companies have presented nearly 700 types of military products.
Tula KBP delegation, headed by Igor Stepanichev, has demonstrated military equipment and arms allowed for export from Russia: assault antitank weapons, guided artillery systems, air defense systems, modernization of armored vehicles and grenade launchers. For the first time ever, a mobile antitank system and 3rd generation thermal vision scope, all part of Kornet-E assault antitank weapon, were presented at IDEX.
Representatives of Defense Ministries, official delegations and other visitors showed great interest in Kornet-E assault antitank weapon, Panzir-S1 air defense system, Krasnopol-М2 guided artillery weapon and Kornet-E guided weapon for modernization of armored vehicles.
Stand of Tula KBP was visited by Their Royal Highnesses Sheikhs of UAE, Defense Ministers, First Deputy Defense Minister of Russia, representatives of other state and industrial structures of different countries and members of official delegations invited to IDEX. All of them showed interest towards the developments produced by Tula KBP.
During the final day of IDEX 2011, the Russian stand was visited by General Sheikh Muhammed Ben Zaed Al Nahayan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the UAE Armed Forces. According to Nikolai Dimidyuk, Rosoboronexport Director for Special Missions, this visit has "marked a great final point for the Russian participation in IDEX 2011". "We have shown him all the relevant product range, namely S-400 air defense system and Krasnopol-М2 guided artillery weapon".
