First International Aviation and Transport Forum on Russian civil aviation and transport to be held on April 22-23 in Ulyanovsk

First International Aviation and Transport Forum is to become the federal communication platform on the strategy and tactics of developing aviation, an essential element of the Russian transport industry

The Russian aviation industry has long needed a business event for professionals and consultants, state authorities and the major Russian aviation companies. Many issues related to cargo and passenger aviation, training flight crews and ensuring connections with the remote regions of Russia require fast solutions on both federal and regional level. Given consolidated efforts of the central and regional authorities, businessmen and specialists, Russia will be able to create a framework for these fast solutions for the civil aviation. One of the driving forces of this consolidation is the First International Aviation and Transport Forum in Ulyanovsk.

The First International Aviation and Transport Forum is held with the support of the Russian Transport Ministry, Russian Industry and Trade Ministry, United Aircraft Corporation, United Russia, "Russia 24" TV channel and Ulyanovsk regional government.

The First International Aviation and Transport Forum will include a one-day congress with a discussion of the current issues of the industry with the business community to find the possible frameworks for their solution. These issues comprise development of cargo and passenger aviation, international cooperation in civil aircraft construction, stimulation of the regional and local aviation, training of flight crews and development of MRO industry for foreign aircraft in Russia. A special focus will be made on innovation projects - the Special Economic Port Zone at Vostochny airport in Ulyanovsk. Combination of a loyal investment legislation and incessant operation of the regional aviation cluster allowed to create a unique mechanism in Ulyanovsk region for the most complicated business challenges in aviation.

Some of the essential elements of the Forum's business program is the exhibition "Innovations in aviation" where the largest Russian and foreign companies will present prospective aviation technologies, IT, hi-tech conversion technologies, professional training, nanotechnologies, etc., and a static exhibition of passenger and cargo aircraft at Vostochny airport with the latest achievements of the Russian aircraft construction for the Russian and foreign guests. Final day of the Forum will see a spectacular aviation show, an evening concert in the center of Ulyanovsk and a multimedia laser show.
