CSTS Dinamika: new full flight simulators for Mi-8MTV-5 crews, Dinamika CSTS - ЗАО ЦНТУ "Динамика"
Release Date: 2010-12-21
Zhukovsky, December 21: CSTS Dinamika announces completion of full flight simulators for Mi-8MTV-5 transport helicopter crews. Contract for development of the simulators was signed in 2010 after Dinamika won in an open tender of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Both simulators are to be delivered before the end of 2010, with one of them for Syzran Higher Military Aviation College and the other for the Russian Air Forces based in Budennovsk (Chechnya) that today is the main Russia's southern aviation outpost with modern aviation equipment and highly qualified crews with real combat experience.
Full flight simulators for Mi-8MTV-5 crews are intended for drilling of the full range of piloting tasks and field operation in imitations of real cockpits and on-board systems. The simulators allow training of the crews under real operational conditions, with intensive maneuvreing and failures of avionics, piloting mistakes and unfavorable weather conditions, as well as to drill using of all air weapons in a real cockpit.
Visualisation systems of the simulators are an 8-channel projection system with a spherical screen (a 240° holizontal angle and 71° vertical angle). Raduga KD, a system of computer-generated external imaging by Konstanta-Design, has an exceptionally high detalization of surfaces and capacity to visualize almost any real objects and special effects: dissemination of sunlight, 3D fog and clouds, soft dynamic shadows, snow whirls and dust whirls, etc.
For night vision, cockpit of Mi-8MTV-5 is equipped with night goggle imitation - the first for Mi-8 family. Another novelty is an imitation of 4th series 8А813Ц meteo radar imitation.
The two Mi-8MTV-5 are Dinamika's fourth and fifth simulators for Mi-8/Mi-17 crews. The first ever Mi-17-1V full flight simulator was created in 2006 jointly with SPARK for a navy training centre in Mexico. The second simulator, developed in 2008 for Mi-8MTV crew, is operated at the central base of forest patrol aviation in the Moscow region. The third simulator, created in 2010 to train Mi-171 crews, is operated at HTP Ostrava, a helicopter training centre in Czech Republic.
