Polet Airlines opens Munich-Moscow 2011 cargo flight with Il-96-400Т, 波莱特货运航空公司

Release Date: 2010-11-18

Polet Airlines is offering regular Munich-Moscow 2011 palletted cargo flights as of winter 2010-2011 (3 flights per week).

Polet Airlines, a traditionally high quality cargo service airline, is starting a new cargo route with Il-96-400Т, used for cargo exclusively by Polet. Il-96-400Т is the first ever Russian wide-body aircraft.

The main advantages of Il-96-400Т are low operation costs, cheaper maintenance, a high cargo capacity allowing load of oversized cargo, and the newest navigation equipment.

Using Munich as a major hub allows Polet Airlines focus on attracting cargo flows from Central and Western Europe, and consolidate transit cargo going from Canada, Africa and the Americas.

The wide logictic cargo network in Germany and Russian-German long-term economic relations guarantee the interest of the German logictic companies. Moreover, Bavaria, with its capital in Munich, is a strong competitor of the other German provinces.

Moscow is the established logistic center for cargo in Russia. A full-fledged cargo bridge between Bavaria and Moscow is a chance for new business flows of the Russian transport logistics. Besides, Munich-Moscow is a direction that had never been used before for a cargo aircraft.

To celebrate the new regular cargo route, Polet Airlines holds an opening ceremony with the representatives of Russian aviation, Polet Airlines and other important guests (please see the Events section on Russianavia.net)
