TsAGI starts new stage of MS-21 testing, 空气流体动力学协会

Release Date: 2010-10-08

TsAGI, the Central Aerohydradynamic Institute, announces a new cycle of testing the small/middle range aircraft MS-21-200/300 in Т-128, the transsonic aerodynamic pipe.

The current tests of MS-21 dynamic characteristics comprise take-off/landing (under airflow speed of 250-300 km/h) and ice imitator impact using a 1:18 aircraft model with a 2 m wing span. Ice imitator production and assembly technology has been developed in TsAGI.

Results of the tests will be used to form a database of aerodynamic characteristics and appraise the flight, speed and flight range qualities of the small/middle range aircraft MS-21-200/300.
