Sukhoi has finished the programmed preliminary on-ground and flight works for the advanced frontline aircraft system (PAK FA) involving all the three test samples. PAK FA's flight sample has accomplished 16 flights.

The test flight of PAK FA on June 17 was overseen by Prime Minister Putin in Zhukovsky, an aviation research and construction center in the Moscow. PAK FA takes the Russian aviation and the related industries to a brand new level of technological excellency. The advanced frontline aircraft systems of the fourth and fifth generation will determine the potential of the Russian air forces during the next decades.

Sukhoi Holding plans further development of the program jointly with its Indian partners with the final objective of creating an aircraft with better cost-effectiveness as compared to its Western rivals. This product would take a unique position on the world market, enhancing Russia's and India's defense potential.
