JSC "Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant" (UUAP) took part in Heli-Expo 2010 (Feb 21-23 in Houston, USA). This was the first show of the whole "Russian Helicopters" holding in Heli-Expo ever. "Russian Helicopters", a holding that which includes UUAP, counts on strengthening its position on the North American market and in the countries of Latin America. Enterprises of the Holding showed their opportunities in delivering modern helicopters and their global service maintenance
Today, UUAP produces the most popular Russian Mi-171 helicopter. Its various modifications are traditionally popular in the South America, namely Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Nicaragua. Besides, Mi-171 helicopters manufactured by the Russian aviation companies are operated in the region, for instace for UN missions. UUAP's helicopters have participated in the rescue works of the recent disastrous earthquake on Haiti.

A complex of modern systems can be installed as optional equipment on Mi-171 helicopters manufactured by UUAP for flights in the North American region and in the Latin American countries: flight, navigation and radio communication equipment - VOR/ILS, GPS, a weather radar, DME, transponder, marker receiver, feet-graduated altimeter, power line detector, TCAS, TAWS, radio sets and emergency locator transmitters. Modern search-and-rescue and firefighting equipment can be installed on Mi-171 helicopters as well.

Exposition of Russian Helicopters has provided American experts and a wide audience with the complete lineup of helicopters produced in Russia, including UUAP's Mi-171 helicopters. The "Russian hour" arranged especially along the Association of helicopter industry told about strategy of Russian Helicopters on the world market, including its program of complete upgrade of Mi-171.
