Sukhoi accomplishes state contract for 2009 for production of new fighter jets and repair and modernization of aviation equipment of the Russian Air Forces

Russian Air Forces have received the last lot of modernized fighter jets Su-24M2 and multipurpose jets Su-27SM from two aviation facilities of Sukhoi: Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Production Organization (KnAAPO) and Novosibirsk Aviation Production Organization of Chkalov (NAPO). Su-33, deck-based fighters, have been overhauled and modernized.

NAPO is in charge of mass production of new fighter jets Su-34 that will be provided to the Russian Air Forces according to a long-term agreement with the Ministry oif Defense.

Multipurpose air-superiority fighters Su-35 produced at KnAAPO have undergone testing during 2009. KnAAPO is in charge of a new state contract for supply of 48 Su-35 to the Russian Air Forces before 2015.

Over the last year Sukhoi accomplished another stage of modernizing and retooling its enterprises which will ensure seccessful accomlishment of the state order in 2010.
