UMPO and PRATT & WHITNEY CANADA sign spare part supply agreement

Source: AviaPort.ruAviaPort, Zhukovsky, August 20: UMPO (Ufa Engine Industrial Association) and Pratt & Whitney Canada have signed an agreement on spare parts supply for the PW300 engine, AviaPort reports from the international airshow.
Alexander Artyukhov, UMPO General Director, commented that "a new page in the history of the cooperation between UMPO and Pratt & Whitney Canada was opened today".
Michele Couture, Pratt & Whitney Canada Director for development of Russian suppliers, noted that "negotiations with UMPO started back at MAKS-2007 and have defined today the best model of cooperation”. UMPO will start spare part production for the PW300 engine in 2010. He also noted that another product might be launched in 2011.
