Yakutsk airport increases passenger flow 5% over 7 months

Source: AviaPortMoscow, August 7. AviaPort - Yakutsk Airport increases the amount of serviced passengers 5% over January-July, 2009 as compared to 2008, to 316,083 people, as AviaPort was informed by the press service of the airport.
International passenger transportation fell 36% over the same period to 5,838 people whereas domestic transportation figures rose 6% to 310,245 people.
The airport processed 5,733 t of post and cargo, 23% less as compared to January-July, 2008. This figure fell 67% on international destinations (to 7,300 t) and 23% on domestic destinations (to 5,726 t).
The number of take-offs and landings reached 7,444 over January-July 2009, an 8% reduction y-o-y.
The airport has serviced 67,286 people in June, 2009, a 5% reduction y-o-y. Passenger flow on international destinations fell 16% (to 2,299 people) and 4% on domestic destinations (to 64,987 people).
The volume of cargo fell 27% in July 2009 to 930.6 t. This figure fell 88% on international destinations (to 800 t and fell 27% on domestic destinations (to 929.8 t).
The number of take-offs and landings reached 1,518, a 9% reduction y-o-y.
Yakutsk airfield receives Il-62, Il-76, Il-86, Il-96, Tu-154, A310, A319, Boeing 737, Boeing 757-200, Boeing 747, Boeing 777-300, DC-10 and lighter aircraft as well as all types of helicopters. Yakutsk airport is the only airport in the world where new aviation equipment is tested in low temperature regimes.
