ROSOBORONEXPORT AT THE INFOPOL-2009 EXHIBITION IN KORTRIJK, Rosoboronexport - ФГУП «Рособоронэкспорт»

It is the second time that ROSOBORONEXPORT is participating in INFOPOL which took place this year in Kortrijk (Belgium) under the auspices of His Majesty King Albert II on April 20-22, 2009.

Issues of international terrorism, illegal drug trafficking, smuggling and hijacking have lately acquired a global scale. Special forces are crucial for solving these issues, with a growing need in arming them with modern and efficient equipment. Taking this into account, ROSOBORONEXPORT is ready to meet the demands and requirements of foreign customers and supply different kinds of Russian special equipment, arms and ammunition. Besides, ROSOBORONEXPORT offers joint development of these kinds of equipment, its production and promotion on the global market and services for training the crew of special and anti-terrorism forces both in Russia and on the territory of the customer country.
The exhibition stand of ROSOBORONEXPORT widely displayed information concerning means of individual defense used by Russian special forces which allow carrying out successful anti-terrorist operations in actual conditions. Visitors of the stand were offered brochures and posters for the most competitive developments of small arms of general and special purpose.

A shooting simulator which imitates the Kalashnikov rifle and the PM handgun for use in closed and open spaces had a special place in the exposition of ROSOBORONEXPORT. Using the simulator allows reducing the time required to learn to shoot by 3-4 times.

The stand of ROSOBORONEXPORT also displayed export modifications of portable and manual antitank grenade launchers and other grenade launchers and assault arms of the new generation such as Shmel, the rocket infantry flame-thrower of enhanced range and power.

During the exhibition ROSOBORONEXPORT showed many other kinds of Russian arms and military equipment for export: a wide range of aviation equipment and armored vehicles, Kredo-1E, a unified radar for ranging moving on-ground targets and Fara-1, a portable radar for group target ranging and aiming which operate in any time of day and year, including the conditions of zero visibility.

The shown samples are just a small part of equipment that is demanded today by the booming Russian market of special equipment and means of safety provision and by the global defense industry.

Participation of ROSOBORONEXPORT showcases high export potential of Russia for special equipment and arms and its firm intention to enhance cooperation among the members of the global community in fighting global terrorism.
