100th flight of Su-35, Sukhoi Holding - ОАО "Компания "Сухой"

The Su-35 multi-purpose fighter jet successfully completed its 100th test flight concluding the testing of the aircraft's flight control system.
Sukhoi launched the Su-35's flight test program in February 2008 at the aerodrome in Zhukovsky near Moscow. In October 2008 a second aircraft took off from an aerodrome in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the Far East. Static tests have been carried out to confirm flying characteristics and stability of the aircraft, completely check the complex control system, aircraft systems and navigation equipment.

In the second quarter of 2009 it is planned to include a third jet in the flight testing program, finish the static tests and start testing the fighter's super maneuverability characteristics.

Sukhoi confirms that the plane's testing program is going on schedule and that it will be able to start production of Su-35 in 2011.

The aircraft will be used by Russia’s Air Forces, which will enhance defense capacity of Russia and allow Sukhoi retain competitiveness till the 5th generation fighter enters the market. Foreign supplies of Su-35 are planned to South-East Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

The Su-35 is a super maneuverable multi-purpose 4++ generation fighter jet. It features 5th generation technologies, modernized avionics with a digital information control system, an integrated on-board equipment system and a next-generation radar capable of tracking more targets at longer range. The aircraft is also equipped with new powerful engines.
