Air Transport Systems Management is developing a strategy for 2009 which emphasizes the role of Krasnoyarsk Airport, half way between Beijing and Moscow, as a modern cargo and passenger hub between Europe and Asia,
The company earlier this year proceeded to purchase modern cargo equipment for Sibir Cargo Service, the new cargo operator of Krasnoyarsk airport. The new equipment will allow the airport to provide full range of cargo services for German air carrier Lufthansa Cargo, which will begin operating transit flights in Krasnoyarsk airport from June, 2009. The equipment is to be delivered in time for that, in the first quarter of the year.
The Board of Air Transport Systems Management, chaired by Igor Katalevskiy, also approved a comprehensive development plan for 2009; the investment budget for 2009 and the continuation of all investment projects for the current year. The company is also preparing the commissioning of the new cargo terminal, finalizing the preparation of SkyNetCargo for certification and the start of regular flights from the Krasnoyarsk airport.
Air Transport Systems Management is the managing company of Krasnoyarsk-based aviation holding, comprising an array of companies covering the full-cycle of aviation business: Avia GSM Service (aviation fuel supply expert), Sibir Avia Service (fueling), Investment group CRATOS (developer and holder of the newly-constructed air cargo facility in the airport of Krasnoyarsk), Sibir Cargo Service (cargo handling), Skynet Cargo (a cargo airline).
