Sukhoi delivers the third Su-30MK2 to Indonesia, United Aircraft Corporation (UAC)

The third Su-30MK2 jet of Sukhoi Holding has been delivered to Indonesia from KnAAPO, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft building enterprise named after Y.A.Gagarin, part of Sukhoi Holding, in the framework of a contract signed on July 23, 2007 for delivery of six aircraft for Air Forces of Indonesia: three Su-30MK2 and three Su-27SKM aircraft. Assembly and test flights of the new aircraft are due before January, 22.

Two Su-30МК2 aircraft have been delivered to Air Forces of Indonesia in late December last year. Delivery of Su-27SKM is scheduled for 2009-2010. These aircraft are to form a squadron based in Makassar together with the four previously purchased Russian jets. Indonesia purchased four aircraft (two Su-27SK and two Su-30МК aircraft) in 2003.
