Aeroflot buys six Airbus A321 worth 286 million USD, Aeroflot - Аэрофлот

Aeroflot has signed a deal with Airbus S.A.S for the purchase of six mid-range Airbus A321-200 worth 286 million USD in total on December 29, 2008, according to materials provided by Aeroflot. The term of delivering the aircraft is set from September, 2009 to December, 2009. Aircraft are equipped with CFM56 engines.
According to Aeroflot’s statement, the cost of all Aeroflot’s assets by the end of Q3’2008 was estimated as 1.5 billion USD (51.2 billion rubles) meaning that the cost of six Airbus A321-200 is 14.09% of the whole cost of the carrier’s assets.
Aeroflot’s fleet comprises 11 Boeing-767 aircraft, 47 Airbus family aircraft, 7 Ilyushin family aircraft and 26 Tu-154 aircraft.
Aeroflot’s main shareholders are Rosimuschestvo (51.17%) (Russian State Property Management Authority) and National Reserve Corporation (about 30%) (NRC-Capital Managing Company).
