UTair Strats flights from Krasnoyarsk, UTair Aviation - Авиакомпания "ЮТэйр"

On December, 15 JSC UTair started daily flights from Yemelyanovo, Krasnoyarsk, to Vnukovo, Moscow, as Yuri Romanuyk, head of regular flights division of JSC UTair, announced at the presentation of the flight on December, 11.
Aeroflot, S7 Airlines, Atlant-Soyuz and Vladivostok Avia have regular flights from Krasnoyarsk to Moscow; Zapolyarye (from December, 14) and Transaero (from December, 26) also plan to start regular flights (twice a week) between the two cities.
According to Mr Romanuyk, UTair is opening the new route during “hard times”, when all carriers are reducing the volume of flights. Nevertheless, “capacity of this route is not yet exhausted” and the macroeconomic situation would not make a dramatic impact on the number of passengers.
UTair is one of the 5 largest Russian airlines in terms of passenger traffic and is one of the largest world operators of helicopter equipment. Net profit of the company in 2007 amounted to 438.071 mln rubles, a 1.7 increase y-o-y. UTair transported 3.2 mln passengers over 11 months of 2008.
