First Contract For Sukhoi Superjet In SE-Asia, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft - «Гражданские самолеты Сухого»

Russia’s Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCAC) and Indonesian aircarrier Kartika have signed a contract agreement for supplying 15 SSJ100/95B planes of the basic configuration, envisaging an option for additional 15 planes. The total cost of the contract will be $448 (m) million, (catalogue prices). This makes the Indonesian airline, the 1st contractor for SSJ100 from South Eats Asia.

“Kartika is the first contractor for our planes from South East Asia; entrance to this new market is an important event in the implementation of Sukhoi Superjet 100 project, which has recently begun to undergo full-scale certification tests. First, results of flying tests that we got in Komsomolsk confirm the announced characteristics of the plane. Sukhoi Superjet 100 will be a perfect compliment for Kartika’s fleet” said Viktor Subbotin, President of SCAC.

The Indonesian airline will use SSJ100 for its domestic and international routes. Supplies of the SSJ100 for Kartika will start in 2011. The SSJ100 planes bought are equipped with a SaM146 engine, and are meant for transport of up to 98 passengers.
