SOLVER implements Fiber Sim and MAG solutions for composite production at VASO, SOLVER

In 2010, SOLVER implemented the pioneer project in automatic production of composites at VASO using Fiber Sim solutions. Before the end of 2011, SOLVER will fully implement Viper 1200 FPS Fiber Placement System by MAG Cincinnati to upgrade VASO’s aviation products to new level of world competitiveness
Voronezh Aviation Construction Company (VASO), involved in serial production of aircraft in Russia, is cooperating with SOLVER since 2010 to purchase and implement automatic working places based on Fiber Sim by Vistagy.

SOLVER has started preparation of composite production for An-148 with Fiber Sim. Using Fiber Sim solutions helped to achieve 25% saving of materials and 100% increase of manual placement productivity. At this stage, according to SOLVER, VASO has achieved significant increase of productivity for components produced through manual placement.

The next stage of innovative component production at VASO is implementation of Viper 1200 FPS Fiber Placement System by MAG Cincinnati planned before the end of 2011. New equipment will allow production of 8 m long and 3 m wide composite components.

According to Radislav Birbraer, general director and founder of SOLVER, the transfer to automatic production of composites will boost the competitiveness of modern Russian aircraft on the global markets.
