Ulyanovsk-2011 - the fourth annual airshow of Povolzhye held every August to celebrate the Russian Air Fleet Day - was held on August 27 by Ulyanovsk Aviation Sports Federation with the support of Ulyanovsk regional government, Aviastar-SP, Volga-Dnepr, Polet, Ulyanovsk Instrument Design Bureau and other members of Ulyanovsk aviation cluster
According to Sergey Morozov, governor of Ulyanovsk region, "In 2011, Ulyanovsk-2011 was preceeded by a week of Russian Air Fleet Day celebrations because the year 2011 is our anniversary. 80 years ago, Ulyanovsk region got its first aviation club paving the way for the regional aviation. Today, we're doing a lot to ensure that Ulyanovsk deserves the title of Russia's aviation capital".

The key on the agenda were jumps performed by veteran parachuters: their summary age is 670 years, with the oldest of them 78 years old and the youngest - 63 years old.

Parallel to the air shows, on-ground exhibition featured An-124 Ruslan, Tu-204, Il-96, Amphibia SK-12 Orion, DA-42, Yak-18Т, An-2, L-13VVM, La-8, Cessna-401, Elitar-Sigma, Cessna-172, Vilga-35А, TecNam-2006, Po-2, helicopters, small jets, aircraft models, etc.

An-124 Ruslan, BO-105 helicopter and small jets performed demonstration flights for the public.
