Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant acknowledged Best State Supplier - 2010 for the defense industry, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant

Ulan-Ude/March 28 – Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, part of Russian Helicopters Holding, has won in the open tender "Best supplier - 2010" as the best supplier for the defense industry. The tender was held on the eve of Goszakaz-2011, the Russian Forum and Exhibition organized by the Russian Economic Development Ministry together with the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Moscow Entrepreneur Association. Тhe ceremony took place on March 23 on the first day of Goszakaz-2011 in Crocus Expo.
Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant has been a state supplier for more than 70 years, producing aircraft and helicopters for the Soviet Air Forces, Navy, Interior Ministry and KGB.
Today, in the frame of fulfilling state contracts, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, as a Russian Helicopters Holding company, works with the Russian Defense Ministry and other power authorities supplying Mi-8АМТSh and Mi-8АМТ helicopters (exported as Mi-171Sh and Mi-171Е), spare parts for aircraft and helicopters, does repair and modernization of the equipment, training of flight crews and engineers. In the next few years, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant and United Aircraft Corporation plan to start mass production of Su-25UBM fighters for the Russian Air Forces.
Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant has a permanent rep office of the Russian Defense Ministry that monitors all production stages of the products for state defense contracts and controls the quality of the civil and dual purpose products.
Supply of Mi-8АМТSh helicopters for the Russian Air Forces was one of the highlights of Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant's state cooperation in 2010. This marked a new stage in helicopter fleet modernization program of the Defense Ministry. The Russian Air Forces received helicopters with improved operational characteristics apt for diverse combat missions in any weather and hour.
