When working in the midst of fire in heavy turbulence, the coaxial rotors of the Ka-32A11BC have a number of advantages in stabilising the rotorcraft and offering it additional maneuverability. This allows the helicopter accurate firefighting while hovering as close as possible to the source of fire.
The number of various specialised equipment options for the Ка-32А11ВС numbers over 40. It includes the Bambi-Bucket and Simplex systems of various capacity, water cannons for horizontal firefighting, foldable rescue cabins of various capacity, and other equipment. The helicopter is also used in external cargo transportation and complex high-altitude construction.
According to Russian Helicopters experts, helicopters equipped with horizontal firefighting systems are in high demand in today’s world. The existing Russian-made system installed on the Ka-32A11BC is in use by the Russian EMERCOM and has proved its efficiency. Russian Helicopters engineers are continuing their efforts to further improve such systems to raise the efficiency of the firefighting version of the helicopter.
The Russian multi-role Ka-32A11BC has achieved certification in various countries of America, Asia, and Europe. Ka-32 helicopters of various modifications are currently operated in Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Canada, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China, and a number of other countries.
