Russian machinebuilders going east to China, Russian Engineering Union - Союз Машиностроителей России

On Jan 17, 2011, a delegation of Russian CEOs representing Russian Technologies and the Russian Engineering Union arrived in China to network with the Chinese companies involved in electronics and machinebuilding.
In the course of the meetings held at the Russian Embassy in China and at the Russian Trade Mission in China, Vladimir Gutenev, VP of the Russian Engineering Union, noted the importance of developing international cooperation, primarily with the countries that increase the share of hi-tech in their national economies: "We do everything to ensure that Russia-China relations develop and are legally sustained".
On Jan 18, the Russian machinebuilders met with the Chinese Machinebuilding Federation and signed an agreement between the Russian Engineering Union and the Chinese Machinebuilding Federation.
"A constructive and reciprocally beneficial cooperation between the Russian and the Chinese machinebuilders will promote competitive development for Russia and China", assures Gutenev. "We believe it is important to create a system of exchanging information on the current innovations in Russia and China and the prospects of their implementation. In this regard, we would like to invite China to participate in "Machinebuilding technologies" Forum held in Russia biannually. I am sure that this will help to showcase again the authority of Chinese machinebuilding and introduce the newest developments of the Russian machinebuilding as a basis for a regular exchange of innovations between Russia and China".
On Jan 19, Gutenev and members of the Russian business mission met with deputy Minister of Commerce of China to discuss the prospects of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation.
On the same day opened Russian-Chinese conference for cooperation in machinebuilding and electronics featuring Russian members representing the Russian Engineering Union, Russian Technologies, the Russian-Chinese Business Council, Russian embassy in China, and Chinese members representing the Chinese Chamber for Import and Export of Electronics and Machinebuilding Products and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. At the end of the conference, heads of Russian and Chinese companies took part in bilateral negotiations.
