First flight of the new Tu-204SM, Tupolev - ОАО "Туполев"

At 13:23 Moscow time on Dec 29, the new experimental aircraft Tu-204SM, piloted by Chief Pilot Viktor Minashkin, Second Pilot Denis Vyazankin and engineers Vladimir Salatov and Vladimir Filimoshkin, took off and landed successfully at 14:15 Moscow time.
A.Bobryshev, President of Tupolev, congratulated the crew, the team of Tupolev, the team of Aviastar-SP, the suppliers of spare parts and everyone who participated in the construction of Tu-204SM and its first flight: "Tu-204SM is a major achievement for Tupolev and for the Russian aviation in general. First flight of the experimental aircraft is another big step in Tu-204SM project".
