Metal Expo 2010: KUMZ meets with strategic Russian and CIS clients representing aviation and defense, Kamensk-Uralsky Metallurgical Works (KUMZ) - ОАО "КУМЗ"

Metal Expo 2010, an international metal fair held in Moscow on Nov 9-12, featured delegations of KUMZ and Aluminum Products (Aluminievie Produkti, Russia) presenting a vast array of metal products for the industry. Andrey Kurgansky, Commercial Director of KUMZ, sums up the results.- KUMZ stand has been visited by the major Russian and CIS strategic customers from aviation and defense, many of which are now our potential partners and clients.
We have discussed KUMZ future participation in long-term projects with aviation companies, such as manufacturers of fighter jets and cargo aircraft. Aircraft constructors are interested in expanding cover plate supplies which requires new rolling equipment at our facilities for the increased workload. As the held talks have shown, military aviation plants will have a growing need of cover plates.
