Yuri Nagaev is one of the main enthusiasts of international airshows since 1992, Executive Director of MAKS 92-2002, General Director of Aviasalon JSC.
Yuri Nagaev's successful directorship of Mosaeroshow-92, MAKS-93, MAKS-95, MAKS-97, MAKS-99 and MAKS-2001 were key to helping the Russian aviation and space show become one of the best international airshows.

Background: Yuri Nagaev was born on 16.12.1930 in Alma-Aty to a military family. Graduated cum laude from the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1953.

Yuri Nagaev is the founder of Aviasalon JSC (General Director in 1992-2002 and President in 2006-2010), Honored Citizen of Zhukovsky, Honored Aviator, Professor of the Moscow Aviation Institute.

December 16, 2010 is Yuri Nagaev's 80ieth anniversary.
