Roscosmos and NASA to Discuss Space Cooperation during the Meeting in November, Roscosmos (Federal Aerospace Agency) - Роскосмос

Space Cooperation Working Group will meet in Washington in the framework of the Russian-US President Commission in November 2010, Roscosmos Head Anatoly Perminov told news media at Baikonur. Perminov added that the agenda would cover a lot of topics, including the additional shuttle mission in summer 2011.
Officially, there are only two shuttles to fly to the International Space Station in the framework of the program. Last week, U.S. Congress approved NASA budget for additional shuttle flight.

After that, Russian Soyuz will exclusively support the ISS human space mission.

Head of the Russian Federal Space Agency explained that further details on the launch schedule are expected in November 2010.

«<...> Currently, our industry maintains launches of 5 Progress and 4 Soyuz spacecraft per year, until 2013. In 2015, US COTS program will initiate commercial cargo and crew transportat for the ISS. Concerning our prospective cooperation, we are to consider it together with our American colleagues»,- Perminov concluded.
