Sheremetyevo International Airport has handled 12.750 mln people in the 8 months of 2010 which is a 32.2% increase as compared to the same period of 2009.International passenger traffic totaled 8.119 mln people (+24.5%), domestic passenger traffic—4.631 mln people (+48.1%).
In August 2010, Sheremetyevo has handled 2.129 mln people which is a 29% increase as compared to the same period of 2009 including international passenger traffic—1.359 mln people (+20.1%), domestic passenger traffic—769 500 people (+48.4%). Cargo traffic totaled 79 500 tons in the eight-month period of 2010, which is 27.6% as much as in the same period of 2009. In August 2010, the airport handled 10 800 tons of cargo, which is 16.3% as much as in the same period of 2009.
Highest growth in passenger traffic was achieved by Aeroflot, Transaero, Avianova, Air France, KLM and Air China.
