RUSSIAN HELICOPTERS Board of Directors approves management changes, Russian Helicopters

Moscow. 27 September 2010 – The Russian Helicopters (an Oboronprom subsidiary) Board of Directors has approved a new company management system.In accordance with the approved resolutions, UIC OBORONROM will cease to be the managing company of Russian Helicopters, JSC as of September 27, 2010.
Dmitry Petrov has been appointed the new CEO of Russian Helicopters. Before taking this position, he was Deputy Director General of UIC OBORONPROM.
In accordance with the presidential edicts and state Orders, UIC OBORONPROM consolidated helicopter building enterprises into the Russian Helicopters holding company. To centralize management, Russian Helicopters became the managing company of all enterprises within the holding company in 2007—2009. This allowed it to pursue a unified policy in production, marketing, sales, and after sale support, which all led to a growth of rotorcraft sales.
The current changes in the Russian Helicopters management are consistent with company plans for future development and prospective projects. The strategic goal of the company is to maintain its positions as one of the leaders on the global rotorcraft market.
UIC OBORONPROM, JSC is a multi-profile machine-building group established in 2002. Its main tasks include helicopter engineering (Russian Helicopters managing company), engine-building (United Engine Industry Corporation managing company), other assets.
Russian Helicopters, JSC is a subsidiary of UIC OBORONPROM. It is the managing body of the following helicopter industry enterprises: Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant, Kamov, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, Kazan Helicopters, Rostvertol, Progress Arsenyev Aviation Company named after N.I. Sazykin, Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise, Vpered Moscow Machine-Building Plant, Stupino Machine Production Plant, Reductor-PM, Novosibirsk Aircraft Repairing Plant, and Helicopter Service Company, JSC.
