Chinese helicopter engineers and pilots to train at Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant

Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant (UUAP), part of the Russian helicopter holding Russian Helicopters, is starting a training course for Chinese engineers and pilots at the aviation training center of UUAP in the framework of the agreement for supplies of Mi-171E helicopters to China.
The theoretical and practical course, based at UUAP’s training center, envisages training at the Omsk Civil Aviation College. The trained staff is to be subsequently licensed for operation and servicing of Mi-171E helicopters.

The contract for supplies of Mi-171E helicopters to China was signed in December 2009. Start of supplies is scheduled for October 2010.
