United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and Tatarstan Republic sign trilateral agreement, United Aircraft Corporation (UAC)

Kazan – August 10: United Aircraft Corporation (by Alexey Fedorov, President of UAC) and Tatarstan Republic (by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan) sign a 5 year agreement for development of Kazan Aviation Production Company of Gorbunov (KAPO) on August 10 during the 5th International Specialized Exhibition "Aerospace technologies, modern materials and equipment. Kazan-2010". The agreement is aimed at cooperation for development of the production potential and the social infrastructure of KAPO to support the operation life of strategic aircraft.
Tatarstan Republic also signed a trilateral agreement with UAC and Aerokompozit for manufacturing products from composite materials based on KAPO.

This agreement envisages construction of a plant in Kazan for production of composite structures in 2012-2013 to be commissioned before 2013. UAC is to support the organization of the project and execute fundraising. Government of Tatarstan Republic commits, within its authority, to support the plant in getting the best possible tax breaks.
