Results of the first international forum "Engineering Technologies 2010"

The first international forum "Engineering Technologies 2010" (a TVM-2010 Forum) which took place on June 30 - July 4, 2010 in Zhukovsky (Moscow region) at Ramenskoye air field has taken place successfully, with over 50,000 people visiting the Forum.
Russian engineering manufacturers, their foreign colleagues, representatives of the authorities, science and public organizations have been discussing the current issues and developments of the industry, showcasing the innovations and developing new business contacts during the 5 days of the Forum. Moreover, the Forum was a spectacular event for over 10,000 people who saw the modern and famous historical military machines in action.

Business program of the Forum included 28 conferences, round tables and foreign participants, with about 250 speakers. In total, over 3,500 experts from 42 internaitonal companies from 18 countries have participated in the program: Glock (Austria), AVL LIST Gmbh (Austria), FM HERSTAL (Belgium), Rohde&Schwarz (Germany), MTU (Germany), Finmeccanica (Italy), Bell Labs (USA), Renault (France), EADS (France), Thales (France), SAGEM (SAFRAN Group, France), Alcatel-Lucent (France), LOM PRAHA (Czech Republic) and others.

Vladimir Putin opened the Forum participating in a plenary session on the modernization of the machine construction industry as the core for the development of the Russian economy. Putin also met with Ali Abdallah Saleh (President of Yemen) and Peter Lescher (Chairman of the Board of Siemens AG).

The Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) and its subjects organized 150 meetings and negotiations on military and technical cooperation with representatives of 28 states (Azerbaijan, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Belorussia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Vietnam, Greece, Egypt, Canada, Kazakhstan, India, UAE, Thailand, Taiwan, Peru, Syria, Ukraine, Uganda, China, Finland, France and South Africa, among others) to discuss the current contracts and plan future developments.

Exhibition program of the Forum comprised four exhibitions - Intermash-2010 (international exhibition for engineering technologies), the Fourth Arms and Military Equipment Show (MVSV-2010), AEROSPACE-2010, and UVS-TECH 2010 - the international exhibition on unmanned multipurpose complexes. 314 companies from 29 regions of Russia and 11 countries participated in the exhibitions.

Pavilions of over 6,000 sq. meters hosted the exhibitions. Besides, open spaces of over 3,500 sq. meters showed real samples of arms, military equipment and civil equipment, including 23 arms units from the Ministry of Defense of Russia and 25 units from the industrial enterprises.

Highlight of the spectacular public program was a massive show of arms and military equipment "The Legendary and the Invincible" seen by over 30,000 people in 2 days.
