Release Date: 2010-06-28

InterAeroCom. Saint-Petersburg 2010, the International salon of civil aircraft and aeronautics, is to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first flight of an aircraft developed and constructed in Russia and piloted by a Russian. The exhibition is to take place on August 12-15, 2010 in Saint-Petersburg, according to Vitaly Kislichenko, General Director of AviaBalt.
According to Kislichenko, it is planned to make InterAeroCom an international annual event.

"We're expecting over 200 exhibitors from Russia, Germany, Italy, Liethuania, France, Ukraine, Czech Republic, etc, representing airlines, design bureaus, aviation and engine manufacturers, aviation clubs, experts, legislators, ministries and industrial authorities".

Kislichenko noted that, despite the crisis of the Russian aviation construction and civil air fleet, it is very important to make aviation accessible. "However Russia already has a few annual exhibitions of business aviation and helicopters such as MAKS, the areas of air navigation and revival of regional aviation is not yet on the agenda. "InterAeroCom" is to become the only site in Russia to offer professional state-level discussions of specific issues of the regional aviation and air navigation".

According to Kislichenko, the official bodies supporting InterAeroCom include Rosaviatsia, the Interstate Aviation Committee, the Federation Council, Foundation "Partner of Civil Aviation", Federation of Russian Air Navigation (Moscow), Federation of Extralight Aviation, Federation of the Fans of Aviation and a few aviation enterprises and unions. The partners are already cooperating with the state authorities of Russia.
