Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant ranked as the best Russian aviation exporter to the CIS, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant

It is the third consecutive year that Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, part of Russian Helicopters, was ranked by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as the best Russian exporter in 2009 (nomination "Best aviation exporter to the CIS")Over the last three years, Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant has won in all the nominations in aviation (best exporter in aviation in 2007, best developing exporter in aviation in 2008 and best Russian exporter to the CIS in 2009).
The CIS market is increasingly interested in the Russian helicopters manufactured by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant whose total sales volume in 2009 grew 2.3-fold expanding the geography of supplies and the number of customers.
Azerbaijan was the major Russia's CIS customer for Mi-171 helicopters manufactured by Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant in 2009, receiving five helicopters for multiple purposes. Supplies to Azerbaijan have enhanced the position of Russian Helicopters on the regional helicopter market.
Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant's cooperation with the CIS in 2009 also included supplies of spare parts for aircraft and helicopters, training of pilots and engineers.
Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant and Russian Helicopters are committed to further enhance their position on the CIS market. The Russian helicopter indsutry is ready to offer its customers both proven products (like Mi-171) and newer models such as Mi-171M planned to be launched in production in 2013.
