Moscow, April 14, 2010: Alexey Fedorov, President of United Aircraft Corporation, visited Engines 2010, the 11th international engine exhibition held in Moscow on April 14-17. Alongside high profile representatives of the Russian state and the government, business and technology, he took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
As Alexey Fedorov has noted during his speech, "The United Aircraft Corporation closely monitors the Russian engine production industry. As it has been said, engine is the heart of the aircraft. It is extremely important that the engine manufacturers construct and massively produce highly economic and efficient modern engines that are competitive and inexpensive in operation and servicing.
It's not the first time that I'm visiting such exhibitions but today I'm especially glad to see that Engines 2010 has a fresh atmosphere of cooperation and partnership. It is fair to say that today exhibitions represent large integrated structures. This has already made a very positive impact on this exhibition as well.
It's also nice to see a large exposition of our colleagues from Ukraine. We're promoting a lot of aviation projects together. The fact that we have started active cooperation with a possibility of integrating the aviation industries of both countries is a very good sign. This will make both Russia and Ukraine more competitive on the world market".
