The fourth experimental Sukhoi Superjet 100 to continue test flights in Zhukovsky, United Aircraft Corporation (UAC)

The fourth experimental Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft tagged 95005 has arrived from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to Zhukovsky (Moscow region) on April 12, 2010 to the experimental polygon of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft to continue certification test flightsThe certification program of 95005 aircraft includes appraisal of the full on-board equipment system, failure resistance tests, of the fire fighting system and neutral gas system. Sukhoi Superjet 100 is the firt Russian aircraft equipped with the neutral gas system which is obligatory, according to the American and European aviation authorities, for enhancement of aircraft safety. As the fuel gets exhausted, the system of neutral gas fills up the fuel tanks with nitrogen to prevent inflammation and explosion of the kerosene in case of unsuccessful landing.
95005 will be used to train the crew of the first customers.
"Today all the main resources of the company are focused on certification tests and production of aircraft for our first customers. We're also progressing with the endurance tests. Over 4,950 laboratory flights have been made in Novosibirsk; we will have completed 6,000 flight hours by the end of April. We have also completed the main part of the static tests. Sukhoi plans to test the first serial 95007 aircraft under current in the end of April 2010. It is especially important for us to ensure that all the resources of the project are mobilized on the final stage of the program", - notes Vladimir Prisyazhnyuk, President of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft commenting the arrival of the fourth experimental aircraft in Zhukovsky.
