Active marketing policy of the Russian defense industry improves arms exports

The yearly amount of the produced Russian arms and military equipment will amount to USD 9-10 bln in the coming years, according to Mikhail Dmitriev, Head of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation. Experts say that the increase of Russian arms exports is a result of the active marketing policy of the Russian defense enterprisesThe International Defense Exhibition MVSV is one of the largest defense exhibitions in Russia and the CIS. According to Anatoly Isaikin, General Director of Rosoboronexport, “MVSV exhibition will substantially enhance Rosoboronexport’s policy aimed at improving the export potential of the Russian defense sector and increasing the international authority of the Russian arms”.
The foreign defense authorities regard MVSV as a very important marketing platform for arms contracts. 77 national delegations have visited the last edition of MVSV.
Unlike the previous exhibitions, MVSV 2010 (part of Machine-building Technologies Forum) will better represent the Russian military equipment, innovative technologies and hi-tech equipment. The Forum will demonstrate the full technological chain working for the defense industry and the Armed Forces. It is based on the stands and samples presented by companies integrated in Rostekhnologii (State Corporation Russian Technologies) that supports development, production and export of hi-tech products in Russia.
The Forum is organized by the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation and Russian Technologies.
The Forum is organized by TVK Rossiya. The general partner of the Forum is the Russian Engineering Union. The Forum is supported by the Administration of the President of Russia, Government of Russia, Ministry of Defense of Russia, Moscow City Government, Moscow regional Government and Rosoboronexport.
