Improved performance of Tolmachevo Airport, Tolmachevo Airport (Novosibirsk) - Международный аэропорт "Толмачево"

Tolmachevo airport (Novosibirsk) shows a 30% growth of passenger flow as of early 2010. Improved operation and financial performance registered in Jan-Feb 2010 is continuing (as compared to 2009)

Namely, the number of passengers grew 28.3% over Jan-Feb 2010 up to 260,766 people as compared to 2009.

The number of take-offs in Jan-Feb 2010 increased 19.8% and reached 1,877; take-off weight increased 18.1% reaching 132,400 t.

Financial figures are also overperforming: total income over 2009 is 2.8 bln rubles which is 111.6% above the plan.

According to preliminary forecasts, total EBITDA of Tolmachevo will reach 40.7 bln rubles which is 39.8 mln rubles higher than planned. Overperformance of the plan is due to additional incomes and cost-cutting.

The most popular domestic destinations in Jan-Feb 2010 are Moscow, Irkutsk, Vladivostok, St-Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Yekaterinburg, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Some of the most popular foreign destinations are Bangkok, Denpasar, Beijing, Phuket, Urumchi, Khurghada, Sharm-el-Sheikh.

As a result, the general positive trend in the economy and in aviation, combined with efficient work of Tolmachevo's management, mitigated the impact of the crisis and helped to develop the route network from Novosibirsk.
