Rosoboronexport is taking part in LIMA (Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition) on Langkawi islands (Malaysia) on December 1-5. This is one of the largest defense exhibitions and one of the latest achievements in military technologies in Asia Pacific. LIMA is held biannually in Mahsuri International Exhibition Center (MIEC) where, traditionally, Rosoboronexport is welcoming its guests in one of the largest pavilions

Rosoboronexport is presenting a wide range of aviation equipment at LIMA-2009: export aircraft, including the multitarget jet fighter Su-35, multitarget front jet fighter MiG-35 and MiG-35D.

Russian naval equipment is also very demanded on the world market and, especially, the market of South Asia, given its geographic peculiarities and the growing need to provide safety of the littoral area in the view of fighting sea pirates, drug trafficking and terrorism.

Apart from fighter ships, foreign customers are offered various arms systems, naval fighter and technical units.

“Here, at LIMA-2009, we’re actively negotiating with our partners in military and technical cooperation and the potential customers for Russian arms and military equipment”, noted Viktor Komardin, head of Rosoboronexport’s delegation. “We’re sure that this exhibition will mark a new stage of the cooperation between Russia and the region of Asia Pacific”.
