Sukhoi Civil Aircraft ready to provide Su-35S to the Minstry of Defense of Russia, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft - «Гражданские самолеты Сухого»

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft is implementing the contract signed with the Ministry of Defense of Russia during MAKS 2009 (August 2009) for supplies of 48 multitarget jet fighters Su-35S before 2015. This is the largest deal for supplies of brand new jet fighters by the Russian air forces.

The Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Production Association of Gagarin (KnAAPO) is responsible for production of spare parts for the aircraft, among other enterprises the supply the necessary units, equipment and systems. Assembly of the first mass-produced aircraft is envisaged for 2010.

Long-term contracts for production of jet fighters for the Russian air forces and foreign customers allows Sukhoi guarantee full load of its production facilities for production of military equipment and shift the focus from modernization to production of new aircraft. Supplies of new Su-35S fighters will allow enhancing the defense potential of Russia and re-equip the Russian military aviation.
