The process of globalization is impossible without an efficient aviation industry and highly developed airports.Today, the aviation industry of CIS member states needs improvement in terms of the needs of air traffic. During the last two decades, the airport network in the CIS has diminished 6-fold, and as few as 45% of the airports possess the required equipment to service modern aircraft.
Nevertheless, the Russian and CIS air space has a substantial transit potential, and the interest of the national and foreign companies towards it is growing. In this view, the state bodies are constantly investing means in the transport infrastructure, particularly the airports.
